I've heard sprite animations kind of get the boot here, but a lot of people have persuaded me to join up. Nothing ventured nothing gained right? I hope everyone likes what I have to offer and maybe relive some of those old memories from your childhood.

Welcome to newgrounds! Crappy sprite stuff might get a boot. I'd be surprised if what you just submitted doesn't end up in the top 50 tomorrow though.
It would be surprising if it doesn't. That was a good vid bro. I'm just starting to learn my way around the programs and sprites was the first area I was looking at. I hope to become that good one day, tho I know I have a loong way to go. If u could give me tips or somewhere I could start that'd be great!

Make another I dream in retro please
The medium does not matter (whether it be sprites, 2d, 3d, clay, traditional, etc.). It is quality that matters, and "I Dream in Retro" was brimming with it. Fantastic work.
Bad sprite work <does> tend to be badly received.
Good sprite work is well received.
Great, original sprite animations, with excellent custom sprites, a clever idea and plot, great execution, well animated and even slightly humouros, is not only well received, but is a strong contender for becoming something of a hit.
I don't think I need to say in which category your work belongs, right? ;]
I agree with what Bigfoot3290 and Vert have said and look forward to any of your future flash submissions on here.
It was great to see the I dream in Retro flash. Please continue to make them it was amazing. =)
